Moving on (sort of)

I think I may have the boiler swaged successfully. I had to hit the drift a lot harder than I was advised (my boiler has 5/8" OD tubes) , but it holds 800 psi of water, and I've fired it several times and taken it out and it runs fine. At least until yesterday, when I drove into the local gas station (burner off) and filled the tank. Not long after, it wouldn't fire properly. Tried everything. Sudden thought: I filled the tank using the driver's side filler, but dipped the tank using the passenger's side filler. Guess what? Two tanks. As my car doesn't use the pilot burner, I hadn't thought of that. Duhhh. This is becoming a steep learning curve.

Correct, the left side is for the pilot. Thereis a valve under the back floor boards that can be opened once pressure is put into the pilot tank and return fuel to the main burner tank. The pilot tank will not produce enough pressure to push fuel to the burner, you need the 2 tanks with a minium of 90# PSI to make the burner work.
