Just a reminder that the Bakersfield swap meet will be April 15 and 16, 2011 at the fair grounds. Friday morning is the best time to shop for steam car parts there. Friday afternoon is quieter and most likely we will have SACA social discussions mid-afternoon. Dick Moore will be selling steam stuff out of our stall. Ken Kowal and many other SACA members will be dropping by. Ron Schroeder will be dropping by as well as John Kieper from Portland. All over the swap meet area, there will be quite a bit of steam car parts for sale . One has to know what to look for and also be one of the first shoppers there to pick the item up. Steam car projects and left overs from other restorations are often available there.
Our swap meet stall is C-35, (close to the restrooms) and close to Rob Williams and Ron Thurber's stall. Several other steam car owners (Cooksie, Robin, Loren Burch, Rich Anderson) usually have stalls located with in 100 feet of us also.
We are looking forward to meeting many new steam car people there.
