<HTML>Anyone have a copy of the EPA's report on this? They'd like to have a copy! (So would I.) I dropped them an e-mail asking them for a copy of the report and this is the response I got back:
Your inquiry was forwarded to the EPA Office of Transportation and Air
Quality's National Vehicle and Fuel Emissions Laboratory (NVFEL) in Ann
Arbor, MI. Formerly known as the Motor Vehicle Emission Laboratory,
this is the EPA facility established to perform tests and evaluations of
vehicles and engines, and the fuels on which they operate.
While there are still a few employees here at the NVFEL who were also
present in the mid 1970s and recall that EPA did an evaluation of the
"Carter Steam Car," we have been unable to locate any copies of that
report.
That dates to the earliest days of this lab's operation, before
computers or any other electronic storage media, and we have not been
able to locate any paper copies of that report. Should you by chance
manage to locate one through another source, we would appreciate it if
you would inform us of that so that we could obtain a copy for our own
technical library.
I am sorry that we were not able to fulfill your request. Thank you for
contacting the Office of Transportation and Air Quality.
Sincerely,
Terry Newell
