Troy windshield at last

After 27 years of hunting for the correct windshield for our 1914 Stanley model 606 roadster, I finally have suceeded in getting the correct Troy windshield frame installed on our roadster. The attached photo was taken today in a snow storm, in which already had about a foot of wet snow on the ground. In steaming the roadster out of my shop and my BF Goodrich tires didn't do much for traction. I almost had to chain up to get loaded into our car trailer for a trip the top shop. The new windshield is about 2 1/2" shorter that the old windshield so a new top has to be made for the car. I am getting side curtains for it at the same time.

New top and side curtains are now installed on our 1914 Stanley model 606 roadster. Check it out. I steamed it home in the rain and in the 38 degree F cold. It wasn't that bad at all. Definitely an all weather touring car now. Check out the attachment.
