The Stanley Museum's 8th Consignment Auction of Steam Cars, Parts, Literature and Memorabilia is scheduled for Saturday, September 8, 2012, in Kingfield, Maine. Electronic previews will be available through the Stanley Museum website, www.stanleymuseum.org, and the Museum's Facebook page - currently being updated with new consignments. On-site previews at the Museum in Kingfield will be Friday, Sept. 7, from 10am - 4pm, and Saturday, Sept. 8, from 7 - 9am. On-line bidding will be offered through Artfact; absentee bidders should preregister at Artfact in advance at www.artfact.com. Currently we have six cars consigned:

1901 Toledo, with extensive restorations by the late Art Hart, spare engine, etc.
early Locomobile-style Steam Project Car, with mix of vintage & repro parts
1909 Stanley E2
1919 Stanley Model 735B, complete with trailer, spare engine, many parts & tools
1920 Stanley 7-passenger Touring
1925 SV, Steam Vehicle Corp. of America Sedan

Also close to 400 lots of parts, gauges, accessories, vintage photos & literature. Proceeds from the auction go to supporting the Stanley Museum. Our thanks to all of our bidders and consignors!

Someone has kindly pointed out to us that the auctioneer's website has the date of the auction wrong (as Sunday, Sept. 9) as well as a few minor errors which we will get corrected as soon as possible.
