There had been some question about Stanley building a delivery van,,,
BUT I saw the ORIGINAL wood pieces of the original body at Carl's auction,,
I wonder who bought the wood,,Wonder if the shop that made the Stanley herse body was involved,,Pease was in Merrimack,,next town to Amesbury,,Ma
Mervin Hilpipper of Cedar Rapids Iowa was the auctioneer at StThomas,Pa
Best auction i've ever been to,,,really,,Moved right along,he did,,
and then some,,No one will ever forget that auction,,,,,ever,,,,,

Reading Kit Foster’s book it seems right from the start Stanley’s trucks were built.
Page 88 the Locomobile was converter to a truck used as a milk wagon.
Page 128 1905 the Moxie truck was built
Page 142 1907 the model F delivery wagon was built.
At this time chassis’s were supplied to body builders like S.C. Pease in Merrimac
Page 276 1908 The Trenton fire Truck Model Z
Page 250 1912-1913 more Funeral coach’s and light delivery wagons
In 1914 they sold the Model 811 30 HP as chassis for trucks
1915-16-17 Model 721, 727, 825,826 were sold as chassis for a variety of trucks.

As a young 5 year old kid growing up in the late 40's, about a mile from my Grandmother's house, the McDougal Wagner Dairy had a couple of Model 735 milk delivery vans sitting along side of their warehouse where they were surplused. The Stanleys had panel delivery bodies and my Uncle Pete said that the Stanley milk delivery vans worked very well in the stop and go business of delivering milk. They disappeard during the Korean war scrap drives. My guess is that Dunlap Towing purchased them for their steam engines and scrapped the rest. Dunlap used Stanley engines to run their bow winches on their tug boats.

Thirty years ago I rented a dredge out of New York to dig an eleven-foot deep trench across the Quenabeck river in Connecticut to install three submarine cables, all the winches were steam engines driven by a huge air compressor mounted in the center of the barge. Real nice rig.
