I found this photo, curious about the tank on the rear., anybody know what it is for?
Is this car the Brett Campbell car?...or a different white H5?
looks like an older photo.

This is H5 #3719, with James Melton's monogram on the side. Melton seemed to like ths cream/brown color scheme on a Stanley, as his Model 71 was done up the same way. The photo was probably taken in the early '50s during Paul Tusek's ownership. The car is in Pennsylvania today, restored and nearly on the road. More info at [www.stanleyregister.net] .

The rear tank is probably for pilot fuel.

Here's another view of that strange pilot tank location, taken on the 1954 Anglo-American Rally. Oddly, the car appears to have been be gasoline-fired at the time - see the second photo.
