Stanley Pilot Tank Identification

Can anyone identify this tank? Possible year/model range? It seems to have some green paint on it. I happened upon this at auction coming from a VERY old machine shop clean out in the Bristol, PA area. I don't think there was a single other Stanley item, but I had to pick this up.

Looks to be in good shape, not sure of my plans for it at the moment. Any insight appreciated. Thanks!

All 1913 and earlier Stanleys were all retrofitted with a pilot tank from where ever the owner could find one. With kerosene now used as the main fuel, 1914 Stanleys and later, pilot tanks were all installed by the manufacturer. Your tank looks like a converted tank of some sort. It has the correct cap, fittings, fuel gauge, and hand valves that a Stanley would use. The fuel gauge on it alone is probably worth a lot more than what you had to pay for the whole thing. It was a good find.

I wasn't sure if it was a Factory tank on a post 1914 car or an earlier tank. I haven't touched it yet other than taking the pictures. The needle on the gauge moves and it sounds like the internals move so that's a good sign as to internal condition. And the gauge is in nice looking condition. I'll probably be keeping this for a future project. I was happy to score this!

The placement of the valves will not allow it to be emptyd,
