Metric Tires on 26 inch wheels

I have reviewed a few of the threads from the past, but would like to hear a few comments:
I have 26 inch wheels for my H5.They have the removeable rings,a Firestone type 2 , I think, will take clincher or straight side.

I would like to use the Excelsior 875 x105 tires, I like the tread.
The Coker Goodrich tire tread looks like it is bald when it is new, but I hear they wear well...not to mention the price is better.

Can folks comment about tire life, and fitting the rim?
a 26 inch rim should be 660.4 mm OD, and the 875 tire ID will be 665mm.
I talked to a guy at Coker, he said it was 640 mm ID and got a flat" wont fit " response on the Excelsior's

I do also see also a Lucas tire 34 x 4 from Longstone , nice tread..... any comment as to wear?
