This came in the mail to SACA, they are looking for a Stanley to appear in their Concours. If interested, let me know and I'll pass on contact info.

===========================================================================

Ken,

I am the Director of Car Selection for the Keeneland Concours d'Elegance Lexington Kentucky. We have a new class for “horse drawn carriages”. We are matching automobiles who's coach body was built by a horse drawn carriage company. C.P. Kimball is known to have built many coach bodies for the following cars; Berliet, Cadillac, Crane-Simplex, Marmon, Packard, Peerless, Simplex and Stanley. I am searching for one of the cars listed, but really would like a Stanley, in the 1911 – 1918 era. I recently learned that Kimball very rarely, if at all, marked their coach bodies.

Our Concours is held on the beautiful historic Keeneand Race Course grounds the third weekend in July (14-17). If know of a car as I listed above please forward this note to the owner(s). Please advice if one is located.

Best Regards,

Ray Szeluga

The Ken Sowles Carriage collection of Falmouth Maine,,was extensive
Ken also had a Ghost Rolls,,picadilly,,
Ken has died,,but I believe the collection is partly together,,
I particularyy recall a Chauncey-Thomas sleigh with a Stanley drop
front on the rear,,I enquired about it and Ken ad I FINALLY located the
name tag after a thorough search,,
He had a roof-top break also,,just like the one pictured in the
Panhard-Levassor catalogue at The Henry Ford ,,,its the inside
front cover,,artwork
# Take a look at Brewster,,another popular high end builder,,
well documented,,,,Lars Anderson has a coach-sleigh-convertible
and,,,,,is their Twin-6 a Brewster
The Owles-Head Panhard was bodied in the U-S,,so might be a cantadate
AAAAhh,,,To only find a real alive [cast-a-shadow] Roof-top brake,,,
Did any get constructed,,I wonder,,,,As rare as the Vanderbuilt Stanley
,,,,To continue,,,207-793-2800,,,,arm got tired,,cheers,,Ben
