Looks like the $1,010 bid didn't meet the reserve.
Anyway, the cylinders had large bosses on the sides... maybe engine mounting points??? I've never seen an engine like that. Mason & Locomobile engine mounting point is on the back side of the frame.

Harry, You ae right. I was too fast looking at the engine and I didn't reed the small blue print "Reserve not met". The bosses on the sides of the cylinder are probably why it didn't reach reserve. They are strange and not like any Locomobile that I have seen either. Thank you for the come back. Anyone out there have any idea of what make of steamer that the engine came out of?
I contacted the chap to see if he would post images of the opposite side of the valve block to show exhaust ports but he says the only ports are those boses on the side. The video on youtube shows it clearer and one of them does look as if it has a pipe fitting in it. Either it is an uniflow or the exhaust circles around from the back.
Also note the chambers cast into the frame to hold oil to lubricate the slides, definately a vertical engine but who made it?
