Tyres for coffin nosed Stanley

<HTML>I have to get a new set of tyres for my car, model 607 no 7644.

Stanley catalogue lists size as 32 x 4.

Now any recommendations as to make & type (straight sided or beaded?).

Over here in the UK the tyres are expensive (sterling equivalent of about 320 dollars each is best price so far) and I want to ge the right ones!

Ditto inner tubes.</HTML>

<HTML>Dear Peter, Your 24" diameter rims are listed in the 1914 Stanley season catalog as using 32 X 4 tires for the model 607. Coker Tire sells the black wall BF Goodrich tire for $152 and the tubes cost $24.95 each. This is a vintage tire pattern that is correct for your 1914 car. On my 1914, I have been using them for 20 years with good success. I have considered having them siped so give better traction on wet roads. The tire stores will only sipe new tires. If you were not to drive your Stanley and were to only display it in a museum, then the all white rubber smooth tire would be the first choice. Sincerely, Pat Farrell</HTML>

<HTML>Straight side and clincher tyres are generally not interchangable [unless you have the 4piece rim] Look at the rims first,,,,Cheers Ben</HTML>
