I am researching a man named George Dawson, who in 1900-01 manufactured a steam car in Basic City, Virginia (near Charlottesville). He attempted to launch a full scale manufacturing operation but failed to raise the necessary capital. As far as I know, he only finished the one car and then returned to his home state of Ohio.
Has anyone on the list heard of this individual, and if so, what became of him? Did his work with steam cars continue?
