1922 Stanley Ashcroft gauge serial #

<HTML>Our 1922 Stanley 735B was about the last 735 built in about April or May of 1922 and it used the Ashcroft gauges. What would be the range of Ashcroft serial numbers used at about this time for its gauges? Except for it's 1955 paint job, our 1922 is unrestored, so the gauges in it could very well be its original gauges. I would like to know for sure though. Please reply if you have any idea. Sincerely, Pat Farrell</HTML>

<HTML>Pat, for what it is worth:
1923 740 A , SN # 23600

Ashcroft Dual Fuel Sn # 47477038

Ashcroft 600# Steam SN # 47476137

Back up Dual Fuel reported to be for 740, SN# 47477098

I believe we are the 2nd owner of this car purchased in Newton, MA in the late 1950, early 60's.</HTML>

<HTML>How interesting. My Ashcroft gauges must have been replaced. My Ashcroft gauges had strange numbers of 5201C070 and 5201C304. The numbers aparently didn't fit the 1922 year so I have changed them out for Ashton gauges that were made in 1920. Better to have an earlier part than a later part. I believe that I did the right thing in changing them out. Thank you for the help.</HTML>
