Just out of curiosity: Does anybody of you think that there would be a market for a steam car in the US? An open roadster, with a very high price but fit for daily use?

Yes, there is a market for a high priced sports steam car, and it would sell in limited numbers. Abner Doble proved that with his high priced steam cars.

Before you start making any steamers you better check with your insurance man about the liability issues.

The liability question is a typical American remark. So around american lawyer you even could not produce bricks because they could fall on somebodys head. I wonder how the hydrogene-artist manage that problem.

Generally there are ideas around here (I for sure will not produce it...) to make a roadster with a steam engine attached to the rear axle but make it visible like in a paddle steamer, and design the whole thing in the style of an expensive watch with a visible movement.
