Question arises, Was the steering wheel spider of the Stanley EX and the Stanley R polished brass or was it plated nickel, like the throttle quadrant was?

Good question
I have not found one plated but I have an original by pass valve handle and steering column bracket and when I cleaned it up it was plated.

There were 5 replies and they all said the same, a brass spider is on the R, so it stands to reason that the EX was most likely brass too. The last reply was, "the Model R uses a brass steering spider with a nickel ...nut. It is the same as on the EX, H5, and E2."
