Howdy, I'm new to the site.. My name is Wesley Harcourt and I have a couple questions... I am researching the Lamont Boiler design and noticed that a member of this forum, George Nutz, had built one. What I am really struggling on is the circulating pump and it's seals and bearings.. tying to make it live in such a harsh environment.
If anyone could steer me his way or possibly direct me in the direction of information on circulating pumps, it would be much appreciated..
I believe Lamont’s idea was the drum-less forced cycle boiler. What seams to be referred to today as a Lamont Boiler at least hear and at the SACA site are all forced cycle boilers with Drums.
You may want to look at the early forced cycle boiler by C.A. French 1922 brought to our attention by Ken on the SACA site. Patent 1703228 or as early as Herreshoff 1870
thanks for the additional info.. I have the jist of how it works and how to set it up. What i really need is info on the circulating pump and high-pressure high-temperature seals..
