Can you experts confirm this engine is a stanley.....220232992440
it appears to have a chain drive, so I think it is not a stanley

The engine is a 1900 type 2 Locomobile. Mobile also used an engine like this. Not a Stanley engine although the Stanley twins were working for Locomobile and Mobile at the time.
