Event for Alt Vehicles

Hi,
We are hosting an event for all manner of alternatively powered vehicles. The event is a 3-day road rally from Berkeley, CA to Las Vegas, NV. Each leg (day) covers approximately 200 miles. The excitement, no fossil fuels can be used to power the vehicles, and contestants must scavenge all of their fuel along the way.
Awards will be given by a panel of judges to the rally winner and for achievements in art and engineering.
Is this something that people in the steam car community would be interested in participating in?
