The Stanley Museum is pleased to announce that a fifth Stanley has been added to our August 22 fundraising auction in Farmington, ME.

Here is the description and a couple of photos. Yes, you can bid by proxy.

1921 Stanley Model 735A 5-Passenger Touring, Serial # 21192
1921 Stanley Model 735A 5-passenger Touring, serial # 21192. Professional quality ground up restoration of an excellent original, low-mileage, fully-documented vehicle with desirable Houk wire wheel option. AACA Hershey national first place award earned in 1981. Driven fewer than 500 miles and has benefited from dry, heated storage since. Absolutely every thing has been rebuilt or replaced including all gages [by Ole Vikre], bearings and electrical system. Complete with full set of new, never used side curtains and top boot. Bourdon boiler and Baker burner.
Restoration costs alone prohibit duplicating this caliber finished product for less than $125,000 assuming one was in the position of having already purchased a “decent” unrestored example. To the best of my knowledge this Stanley has to be one of the top five condensing car restorations ever done. Offered with realistic, reasonable reserve.

Wanted: Parts for 1924 Stanley Model 750 and 1925 Stanley Model SV 252. We buy steam car parts and literature. Visit the virtual steam car museum at www.virtualsteamcarmuseum.org.
