Tom,

WOW! WOW! WOW!

That sure is a unique car that you got. I had wondered where that one had gone to. GLAD to see that it is in working hands!

I remember reading that the window "cranks" are of a one pull up and they are moved type. I am wondering if you could explain what type of linkage they are using or remove the door panel and take a shot of it. Very fascinating car!

Thanks for the Video, I really enjoyed it.

I decided to chop and lower my Stanley to make it more interesting. I hope you like the new look.

I liked the old look better. "Photo shop" can do wonders. The original body is a beauty, unlike any other car.

It looks like you're pretty much ready for Bonneville...

This is a steam car site, don’t abuse it. And Tom is not going to destroy a beautiful car with a gas engine.

My posting of the pictures (and video) was for fun only and hoped to bring a smile to a few peoples faces. It did. If this is considered abuse, then all my future posts will remain professional and I sincerely apologize. But sometimes I see life is not always about measuring the coefficient of friction...

Tom
Lighten up. All in fun. If you need more power use more engines.

Then I suppose you will need more boiler power.

A flat-4 Stanley! LOL! Taking a cue from the old VWs? As for the boilers, great, now I'm going to run into somebody some day who KNOWS that steam cars all have 12-foot long front hoods with huge giant square boilers, "you don't know what you're talking about Peter, I saw the ACTUAL PHOTO!" LOL

Neat car Tom!

Peter

Well Tom I think your first version but with a stretched bonnet to handle two of Rolly's Derr boilers is the go! Make sure the condenser is still near the center line of the front wheels to keep the looks, plus maybe a set of 20" alloy rims with some 40 profile tyres......and flames lots of flames!! :-)
Thanks from down under this thread has really made me smile. The videos were great and the "rodding" real fun.

Cheers
Mark

I just have to swap out the gas engine for a big steam engine.

OK, so I put the car on ebay today. I know all of you are willing to mortgage your house for this car or trade for your Stanley.

Interesting, ebay pulled my auction because I violated the eBay Inappropriate Links policy using Youtube. Anyway, its back on and removed the youtube link ,but kept my video link.
