I am the new owner of “Windrush” a 1972 Morris 1000 pick up converted to steam. At present it has carbon rings and stainless steal liners but the rings are stuck plus very worn and considering it has had very little use I am thinking of changing the rings,

I had considered phosphor bronze rings or hard chroming the cylinder liners and making cast iron rings.
