Fuel pressure dump valve location

After a couple requests about the Stanley fuel pressure dump valve on my 1914 Stanley, I have pasted my reply for it here: I hooked up my fuel pressure dump valve line to the bottom of the wet fuel pressure bottle so that I could dump it's fuel before I dumped the air pressure. I ran my line for the fuel pressure dump valve back from the fuel pressure bottles, to the fuel bypass return fitting on the bottom of the fuel tank where I installed a Tee for the fuel pressure dump valve. When your driver's seat is on fire, the driver's seat is the wrong place to be caught while trying to turn a handle for a fuel pressure dump valve. Also, when your fuel pressure bottles become saturated with fuel, you have to dump their fuel anyway. In the back, away from fire is the best place to put the valve, and I have seen several original Stanleys with their fuel pressure dump valves already located there. I learned this plumbing lesson in a "trial by fire".
