It has come to my attention that we need to know what original type of hinge was used on the rear seat lid covering the fuel tank on the 1909 Model R. Was this a piano hinge or was it individual hinges. If so, what size of hinge and how many? What did the model 60 and 62 use for their rear seat hinges? There are so many recreations out there that an original rear seat hinge is not to be found in my neighborhood. Thank you.

The 1909 R Stanley photographed in about 1910 by George Haynes who lived in Petersburg, New York says that the hinge was a piano hinge. See attachemnt.
