I was looking at my boat spenting a lot more time in the yard unused than really like.
And wondering if anyone every thought of modifing the prop and shaft to use a 7500 watt pto generator for emergincy power or welding.I have had the Kabota steaming on diesel for upwards of 2 weeks after a storm. And was wondering about maybe using storm damage to power the house when the lights go out again.
I see right now that I would to rework the condenser for dry land sailing with generator
,but could not imagine someone in the last 100 years not using a boat like a traction engine driving equipment.
Looks like I would have to go to a ball governor to crank 540 rpms at theshaft under
varing loads from the generator.

Anyone out there ever used a variable hydraulic pump on a steam engine when you were running a ball governor for constant velocity traction engine style operation.
Thinking if I was going to be able to boat and traction engine pto equipment. That might be the ticket to switch roles fairly easily.
