Steel boat paint

<HTML> I have just aqquired a WWII life boat that I will be converting to a steam boat. The boat is in need of a good coat of primer and top coating.

The hull may have already been stripped of the orgional paint as I can't see any trace of the redlead that probably was used. It now has a very poor coating of a yellow paint, which will probably will come off when pressure washed.

I am looking for a good quality paint that will go over the steel and be resistant to the water. Chances this boat will never be put into salt water.
