<HTML>I have produced this thread to begin a compilation of any and all information on new parts for new steam cars. Those that were made in the past, are being made now and are planed to be produced. The successfull and un-successfull designs.

If at all possible I would prefer if the only replies to this post would contain information on said issue.

It would be helpfull if you would copy and paste the format below and use it as a template if you are going to post about a part, thank you.

<HTML>What the part is for: Suitable for Automobiles, Boats, Railcars

What the part is: Modern high efficiency steam engine at 10 - 120 H.P. output using steam pressures 100-1200 lbs p.s.i.

Who designed it: Peter Pellandine

Who made it: Peter Pellandine

When will it be/was it made: As far as I know it is being made now.

Comments about it's performance, the good and bad: a three cylinder (1 high pressure 2 low pressure) parellel, double acting, two stage compound with poppet valves for both inlet and exhaust. CYLINDER BLOCK is a one peice casting of spherical graphite cast-iron, machined to give cylinder dimensions of 72mm bore (HP) and 90mm (L.P.) with a common stroke of 74mm. This information is from his website and he has much more information on it describing it's use of modern materials. This looks to be a very well designed modern steam engine. Worthy of some consideration.

What does/did it cost: PRICE Assembled, crated and Delivered free-on-board Tasmainia port is $22,000 US (This price is current for the year 2000).

Contact information for it's acquisition: mailto:wallrus@primus.com.au or mailto:rgad@southcom.com.au or phone Peter Pellandine Telephone : international + 0362 951407
