<HTML>Friends, I came home this evening to a wonderful surprise - my long awaited "America's Legendary Steam Car" book was delivered. Looks wonderful, well worth the money in my opinion. Sue, Kit and everyone else involved did a bang up job. Great photography and while I haven't had a chance to tackle the text yet, from a brief flip through it look great!

<HTML>Today August 19,2004; I received my copies of the book that I had ordered. I knew that the book was 548 pages long but when the box of 5 of them arrived and the box weighed over 30 pounds, I wondered what UPS had delivered. They weighed all of 5 pounds each and I know what I will be doing for the next few days...reading and looking at all of the neat vintage photographs in the book.</HTML>

<HTML> People must be receiving the book(S) in reverse order to the distance away---I am only 100+ miles away and have not received as of yet. You lucky people!!
Looking forward(northward) George</HTML>

<HTML>Mine arrived Friday. I'm carefully NOT looking at it until the next SACA Bulletin goes to press. I know once I start reading it, there will be no hope of keeping to schedule!</HTML>

<HTML>Good idea, David! Wish I'd thought of that. Delving into the book puts any Stanley fan into a deep time/space wormhole. Paints a wonderful detailed tapestry of the cars & their times, places, & people, putting all the pieces together ... an amazing masterpiece of automotive historical writing ... I _might_ be able to get back to the shop Monday ...

Kobus, I think you've got us all beat in the distance department ...

<HTML>Today, Sept 3rd, my book arrived. I have just browsed here and there, and it's obvious that it is absolutely superb! A gem addition to my bookshelf once read. Kobus</HTML>
