Hello,
I am the owner of a 1918 Model 736 Staney and I am having a difficult time finding information on it since it seems like its a bit rare. The only information I was able to find is at this link (http://www.stanleyregister.net/YearModel.html) which shows that it has a more slanted body than the 735, a top that does not protrude past the spare tire, and also the spare is slanted forward instead of vertical like the 735, and also that its a 4 passenger.
Aside from those things, it seems like it was only made in 1918, and based on the lack of information on it, it seems as though it might be quite a bit more rare than I thought it was. I'm curious at this point if anyone knows how many model 736s were built and what the rarity of the 736 would do for the value of it. I had someone approach me recently who is interested in buying it and I may sell it but want to make sure the price is fair. Any help or guidance on its value or other info would be greatly appreciated.
Also, assuming the odometer is correct... it appears that the car has less than 16,000 miles on it.
Here are a few pictures of my car which is serial # 18886-
